Kirchenchor St Raphael’s Blacktown

Wir, der St. Raphaels Chor, sind vorwiegend ein Kirchenchor. Wir singen zu den Kirchen- und Gemeindefesten unserer Gemeinschaft. Ebenso treten wir bei der Chor-Festen in Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle and Wollongong wie auch auf Einladung in anderen Gemeinden und Vereinen in Sydney auf. So haben wir auch schon im Sydney Opera House und in der St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, Sydney gesungen.

Unser Dirigent ist seit über 10 Jahren Stoyan Assenov, der einen hochrangigen musikalischen Werdegang aufzuweisen hat. Ihm mit seiner Kompetenz und seinem Engagement hat unser Chor viel für sein Niveau zu verdanken. Unser Repertoire erstreckt sich über alle Bereiche der Musik, von Kirchen- und Choralmusik über Klassisches und Operette bis hin zu Volksmusik.

Unser St. Raphaels Chor ist vierstimmig und weißt derzeit 20 Sängerinnen und Sänger auf. Wir proben jeden Freitag in der St. Raphael’s Gemeindehalle (138 Reservoir Road, Blacktown NSW 2148) von 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Über neue Gesichter und Stimmen würden wir uns sehr freuen.

St Raphael’s Choir Blacktown

The St. Raphael‘s Choir is primarily a church and community choir and sings at all church feasts and social functions within the community. There are also many performances outside the community at choir festivals in Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle and Wollongong, also in other communities and clubs in Sydney and elsewhere when invited. The choir has also sung at the Sydney Opera House and in St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, Sydney.

The choir master over the last 10 year has been Stoyan Assenov who has had a distinguished musical career and the choir owes much of its achievement to his expertise and commitment. He has built up a repertoire of all sections of music from church and choral music to classical, operetta and folksong.

St. Raphael choir is a four voice choir and at present consists of 20 singers. Practices are every Friday evening in the St. Raphael’s community hall from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and the choir is always ready to welcome new supporters and singers.
